On March 13, 2015, Todd Thomson passed away after a long fight with cancer. Todd was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Although we know he is now in a better place, he leaves behind his wonderful wife Robyn and two beautiful daughters.
Lieutenant Colonel Todd Thomson served his country for over 20 years in the US Army and also worked more than 10 years in the Federal service with the Department of Health and Human Services. Todd grew up in Hamilton, VA and was a graduate of Loudoun Valley High School and West Virginia University. Todd (aka Tree - he is 6'6") was also a dunking machine on the basketball court!
When we asked Todd what we, as his friends, could do to help during this obviously difficult time his only concerns were centered around his family and ensuring his girls received a college education. We promised to make sure that his family was taken care of. So here we are; we are asking anyone who has known Todd or is reading this story to help us take care of his family. We want to make sure his girls have all the same opportunities they would have had if Todd's fate were different.
Todd really was a gentle giant with a huge heart. Anyone who ever met him knows just how special of a man he was.
Todd, we will keep our promise to make sure your family is taken care of.
